My story

I am a 28 year old card maker based in Austin, TX — a dreamer, a skeptic, and a recovering perfectionist.

I’ve spent the entirety of my adult life working in the tech industry. First working in tech-support, then account management, and finally as a product manager designing and building software products.

Needless to say…I took a sharp right turn somewhere along that road. In the summer of 2022 my partner gifted me a heat embossing gun and a few stamps. Little did I know how much that gift would change my life.

I’ve spent the last year honing my skills at card making and sharing my journey online with any who care to join me. Thanks for stopping by and being a part of this adventure.

My philosophy

The thing I love most about card making is that it’s such an approachable medium through which to express your creativity. I’m not a drawer, a painter, a sculptor, or anything traditionally associated with artistry. Yet, when I sit down in my craft room I can turn on some moody music, get my fingers inky, and come out with a creation that I am proud to gift someone.

I truly think anyone can be a card maker and it’s important not to let doubt keep you from scratching that creative itch. In this crazy world we all deserve to have a creative outlet. So, if you’re new here — welcome. Great to meet you. I hope to see you around.
